Alice's Adventures in Chicagoland - framed photograph
Description
13"x17"
This photograph was taken during my darkroom photography class. I bought a Kodak Duaflex camera and researched how to do a DIY conversion to 33mm film from the size film the camera was designed to handle. I made the conversion and started my exploration process in taking photos with this old camera. Because of the size difference in the film, I had to learn how much to advance the film in-between each photograph. This particular image was taken while I was still learning. The complexity of the image comes from the fact that it is actually three frames stacked together because I did not advance the film enough. The photos were taken in downtown Chicago. A skyscraper can be seen in one portion of the photo, and large polka dot sculptures can be seen in another part.
