These paintings are inspired by the idea that paradise, peace, happiness, zen, etc can be found right where you’re at. There isn’t some other place, some achievement, milestone, or roadblock separating you from it. You can have it now if you choose it.
I love the use of the mandala inspired white design work in these. Drawing those designs is time consuming work, and yet it is something that gets me into a wonderful flow state that feels absolutely fitting for these pieces.
"Lotus Paradise" is a collection of nine 8”x8” oil paintings on canvas. Each has a deep, beautiful, shiny background with a drawn mandala in white. The paintings are finished off with a large lotus flower in middle. They can be displayed alone or in a collection of multiples.
