Preparing for What's Next
One thing that surprised me as I was preparing for my sterilization surgery was this feeling of nesting. Of wanting to prepare my space for this next phase of my life. Usually nesting is reserved for pregnant people who are preparing their space for a baby. So it was captivating to me that I was feeling this calling to nest and prepare my home in advance of my surgery to take out my fallopian tubes and my ability to have children. I was, in my own way, preparing for what’s next. In my season of change, I had an urge to adjust my house and my environment to the upcoming reality.
