In 2019 I travelled to Austin, TX for work. I got to choose the AirBnB that I stayed at, so I chose this little cottage that was right outside the South Congress area. I wanted to be where things were happening.
This cottage was just a few blocks west of SoCo at the intersection of Mary & Newton. The neighborhood felt to me like a wonderful mix of history, modern, arts, and chic.
It felt like home to my soul. In a way that a place with cacti never has before.
I loved Austin in general, but the charm of this neighborhood stuck out in particular. It was a feeling I wanted to immortalize.
