Description
I created the Playing Games wall sconce in my sculpture class freshman year of college. The assignment was to use multiples - 100 or more of one object - to make a piece of artwork. I was inspired by the winning screen after a game of old school solitaire where there cards would cascade down the screen in arches.
The sculpture is made of cardboard and playing cards. There is a small LED candle on the inside that can be used to illuminate the sculpture from the inside.
