WEDDING BOUQUET PAINTING

Preserve your wedding bouquet in a one of a kind abstract oil painting
Picture
Your wedding was gorgeous - I wasn't even there, and I know it was gorgeous! You did such a great job planning out the details.

Now the wedding day is over, and you're happily married.

What did you do with your bouquet? Preserve it? Try to save it? Throw it away when it turned brown and lifeless? Turn it into potpourri?

Let's make it into a custom wedding bouquet painting! It will be a beautiful way to remember the joy, beauty, & celebration of your wedding day. And it's a great way to start decorating your home together if you haven't done that! (You got all those kitchen gadgets and towels and bedding from the registry, but that doesn't help with the empty walls.)
Start the Process

the process to commission your wedding bouquet painting

The Painted Bouquet process is specially designed to be the EASIEST way to commission a painting with me. You just planned a wedding, you don't need to make decisions about this now too! You can take a break from making decisions because the decisions are made for you on this custom painting - size, color palette, imagery. All you have to do is say "yes" (& I think you have practice with that one). Okay, you also have to send me photos of your bouquet, but that's minor details.

1. Send me some info

The first step is to fill out the form with some information about you & your wedding and then send me some photos of your bouquet.
  • If you are recently married and don’t have your photos back, don’t worry! You can still fill out the form. I’ll send you an email and check in with you once you have your photos back.
  • If you aren’t married yet, we can book you a spot two months after your wedding. On your wedding day, I’ll be enjoying a cupcake at home and daydreaming about how gorgeous your day is. And then I’ll plan to check in with you about six weeks after the wedding to get some photos and final details from you.

2. We’ll Solidify the plans

Once I’ve got your photos, I’ll work on creating two sketches for you to review and choose from. After you’ve made a selection, we’ll do the official agreement & retainer payment to lock in your spot.

3. I’ll make you a painting

Your wedding bouquet painting will take about three months to complete. The first two months will be me actively working on the painting and the third will be time for the painting to dry. I highly recommend following me on Instagram so you can maybe get some glimpses of your painting in progress in my stories. I will also send you some in progress pictures near the end of the process.

4. Wrapping things up

Near the end of the third month, I will send the final invoice for your wedding bouquet painting.  Once I receive payment, I will ship your painting to you!
If you have any questions about hanging your work or styling your work in your space, I would love to help you out and I’m just an email away! I am so excited for this piece to be a daily reminder of your love and the joy of your wedding day.
Let’s get started!

the details

The investment for your commissioned wedding bouquet painting is $400 plus taxes.
  • $200 is due at the time of booking, and $200 is due once the painting has been completed.
  • The cost includes:
    • the 16"x20" oil painting on canvas*
    • domestic shipping
    • a certificate of authenticity

The painting will take approximately three months to complete and dry once started.

* Your painting will not come framed. The edges are painted black so you do not need to frame the painting if you don't want to. If you do want it framed, you are able to do so at a professional framing shop & pick out a frame that matches your decor.

FAQs

What if I want to give a commissioned painting as a wedding/anniversary/Christmas gift?
Love this for the happy couple! Send me an email at [email protected] and we will make this happen!

What if my wedding hasn't happened yet?
You can ABSOLUTELY book before your wedding! This will probably be the easiest part of planning your wedding. You'll send me a little bit of details in the booking form and tell me your wedding date. On your big day, I'll be at home enjoying a little cupcake and daydreaming about how gorgeous your day is. Then approximately 6 weeks after your wedding, I'll send you an email to ask for photos of your bouquet. Make sure you let your photographer know that you want some great shots of your bouquet!

What if I'm worried about the quality of my photos?
If you have any concerns about the quality of your photos or are questioning if your bouquet would make a good painting, send me an email at [email protected] with some photos, and we can take a look and see! Your wedding was a beautiful day, and I want to make sure that your painting is a beautiful preservation of that day.

Why does it take three months to finish a painting?
I know that seems like a long time! UGHHH! I work in oil paints, and they take longer to dry than acrylic paint. It's a bit of an inconvenience, but I think they are worth the wait. I love the rich colors and expressive painterly qualities that I am able to achieve with this painting style. Usually it will take me about two months to finish the painting and about a month to let it dry enough that I feel comfortable shipping the painting.

Meet the artist

Chelle Diederich

I love bright colors & joyful imagery in my paintings. My signature style with the lines are inspired by stained glass work.

I love to buy myself bouquets of flowers. The wilder looking, the better. I'm not particularly a fan of roses (shhh don't tell them, they might get offended!).

My favorite things at weddings are the dessert & dancing! I'm a fan of celebration.
