Peach Charming
Makeup and clothing can be used to tell a story - as a form of functional & wearable art. A certain shade of lipstick - when paired strategically with my outfit & my mood - can give me a boost in confidence & strength. It’s the war paint I wear for my battles against this crazy world.
My War Paint collection is my ode to lipstick. I wanted these pieces to be bold, beautiful, & to invite the viewer to inspect closer. The thick, hand-built canvases are topped with deep layers of texture, color, & intrigue in the background. A big lip print adorns each canvas, and shows off a piece of my lipstick collection and a piece of my story of rediscovering my power & strength.
Size Details: "Peach Charming" is a 14”x14”x3.5” oil painting on stretched canvas with collaged fabric. There is a hanging wire on the back.
