Show Offy Artistry
"Show Offy Artistry" was once sent to me in a text message regarding tattoo ideas and the fact that some ideas had more show offy artistry than others. And that idea stuck with me. There is a certain artistry and flamboyance with which I like to live my life. Despite being an enneagram five (which are notorious for being bland, neutral, and sad beige), I love color and pattern and making a statement.
The idea with this painting and its companion, You’re the Art, Babe, was to create a combination of stained glass sections that were loud and flamboyant and contradictory, but at the same time played nicely together. The cool toned polka dots, pink leopard print, gold designs on chartreuse, and rich purple create this weird harmonious mix.

Location: This painting is currently on display at the Len G. Everett Gallery located inside Hewes Library on Monmouth College’s campus until September 22nd. If sold, pieces will be available for pick-up or shipping after September 22nd. There will be an option for pickup in Monmouth, IL and in Green Bay, WI at dates to be determined.
